The tour and guide were both phenomenal! Suzanne did an incredible job and shared some great tidbits.

Our guide was fascinating. We toured the house and all its rooms, and saw many everyday objects. It was truly interesting. The garden is very large and beautiful. You can spend time there or even have lunch at the on-site restaurant. We loved the visit.

This is a great tour! Our tour guide, Giselle with Tours by Isabelle, was oustanding. Lots of history and local information during the drive and at the plantations. Visited three plantations, each one was different so we got a wide range of experiences on one tour. The time at each plantations was good; not too long and not too short. The included lunch at Houmas House was very good. Very enjoyable day, I would recommend this tour.

The tours were great. Isabella planned the perfect tour. Each manor was so different. Rene was the tour guide that took us to the mansions and was knowledgeable and energetic. Because of the wether, we did not get to do the airboat the same day, but Isabella set it up for us to do on a later date. She made it easy . The food was great as well. Rene had umbrellas and ponchos ready for us each step. Thinking ahead about our needs

Tours by Isabelle is an excellent option for those looking for an organized and personalized tour around New Orleans. The concept is a bit “à la carte”, allowing a more intimate small group experience on board a comfortable and air-conditioned minibus. We opted for the full day package, which included visiting the bayous and exploring two historic plantations, including lunch. Although the price is relatively high, the Quality of Service justifies the investment. The guide is not only competent and very informative, but also bilingual (French/English), which is a major asset for Francophone travellers. This makes the explanations much richer and easier to follow. We pick you up directly from your hotel and drop you off at the end of the day. This is a detail that changes everything, offering total peace of mind.

I have taken many tours with Isabelle! Tours by Isabelle is the ONLY one I use. The small groups are amazing and the guides are top notch. I would recommend every time!

First rate tour that begins with being picked up at the hotel. Steve, our tour guide provided a wealth of information about the city of New Orleans as well as about the history of Louisiana. Fun time on the swamp tour including meeting some of the alligators! Yes, they all have names. Great and informative tour guides at both of the plantations. Enjoyed sampling southern cuisine at the lunch buffet that was included. A must tour for anyone traveling to New Orleans. You will not be disappointed!

Sophie, our guide, did an outstanding job leading us through the house. Her enthusiasm was apparent and she shared a great deal of information about the house and its history. She appreciated the stories my friends shared and their knowledge, particularly of the Houmas Indians. The house and grounds are beautiful and so worth the time and money.

We really enjoyed walking through the gardens before and after the tour. They are extensive and well done. The house is interesting as well. We went through several plantation houses on this trip and this was the best.

Informative tour with our guide Gisele. Origins of Louisiana, and state history was shared in clean, air conditioned van while being transported to multiple sites. Plantation specific information, construction, crops, tools, families were all shared by knowledgeable guides. And the food served for lunch, delicious!

Our lunch was a lovely meal with salad, pasta, gumbo, rice and beans, fried fresh catfish and fresh vegetables—- with warm bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Yummy.
