Truly the best way to spend a birthday! Our guide was funny and attentive. He made sure he circled the airboat around the gators so everyone could see without obstruction. The journey was a great duration so we got to experience all the wonderful scenery and animals of the Louisiana swamp.

"5 STARS" Kindrell from K's Luxury Transportation and Tours was fantastic. First the tour was well planned and educational. We gained a deeper understanding of the history of plantations and enslaved people. Kindrell confirmed our pick-up time the night before and was on-time picking up my two sisters and myself. The ride was conformable and Kindrell gave us an overview of what we were going to see before arriving at Whitney Plantation. The guide at the plantation, was amazing as well. I would highly recommend this tour.

We found the whole experience absolutely awesome! Started with Gerald (bus driver) who was friendly & a pleasure to talk with - gave plenty of recommendations for the city. Bebop (airboat captain) showed the group a great time- seen several alligators, educating about swap & even held a little gator (Frankie). Even the store lady (sorry don’t recall her name) was welcoming & super funny and quite a character herself. Tour is worth the price. Recommend small airboat tour with pickup service to & from the site

It was a wonderful experience. Our guide knew his way on the water/swamp and even took us to a couple of specific areas where he knew alligators would be. I loved seeing nature at its finest, and the swamp boat ride was exhilarating.

This was an amazing tour and Jeff was such an amazing guide! We were a group of 14, but he went out of his way to make the process as seamless as possible despite taking on a larger group than normal. There was even a hilariously decorated bike for my partner’s birthday! The food was fabulous and Jeff told us so many interesting facts about the history and culture while eating. The last stop had a beautiful view of the Mississippi River while ate our po boys on some benches outside. If you want a fun tour of the beautiful neighborhoods while getting to experience good food as a local instead of a tourist, I would 100% recommend this experience, and tell Jeff we said hi!

Isabelle was our Tour Guide. In a word, WOW!!! She is so, so nice and incredibly knowledgeable of the city of New Orleans and the surrounding areas. She’s exceptionally knowledgeable of the city’s ties to France, Spain and Haiti.Isabelle also demonstrated great flexibility in the tour schedule when we asked her to show us the neighborhoods affected by Katrina. I’ll be honest, seeing the destruction and suffering it left behind left my wife and very emotional.My wife and I highly recommend Isabelle for your next tour. Brian was a great guide. He is both an author and a lover of history, and we learned a lot about New Orleans and the French Quarter during our time with him. The Sidewalk Food Tours team gave us input into the foods and locations we would visit, and the process for a private tour was flexible on timing as well. It was just the kind of intro to the Quarter that we were seeking. There is one change I would make with a do-over… I would evaluate the food options for both French Quarter and Garden District before making a decision on which tour to book. There could be more variety of options in the Garden tour. While Gumbo and Jambalaya have some significant differences, they are also very similar, and combining them in two hours is kind of heavy on rice, chicken and andouille sausage.

Excellent experience with Kindrell for our tour of the Whitney plantation. Kindrell arrived to pick us up on time and was very polite and professional. He had extensive knowledge of the local area and stopped by the local plantations on our way to and from the Whitney plantation. We were even able to get a photo opportunity infront of Oak Alley plantation where Beyonce shot her music video. I learned alot and had a great time. Would definitely recommend.
