Today, my family and I had the absolute pleasure of going on a citywide tour with Quay, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!From the very beginning, Quay was incredibly kind, welcoming, and brought such amazing energy. I’ve been on a New Orleans city tour before, but somehow Quay introduced us to historical places, stories, and moments that I had never even heard of or knew happened here. His knowledge of New Orleans and its history was truly impressive, and you could tell that he genuinely loves what he does.One of my favorite parts of the tour was seeing how many people knew Quay along the way. Everywhere we went, people greeted him by name with huge smiles, and it honestly made us feel like we were locals rather than tourists. He made the entire experience feel personal, authentic, and full of that New Orleans spirit.He also took some AMAZING pictures of my family and me, which was such a thoughtful bonus and gave us memories we’ll be able to keep from the trip.We enjoyed Quay’s energy, personality, and passion so much that my family and I will be back tomorrow night to see him play some Jazz on Frenchmen Street to conclude our trip!If you EVER have the opportunity to take a tour with Quay, DO IT! I highly recommend, I can promise you will not be disappointed. He made our experience so memorable, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Quay was an amazing tour guide! I learned a lot about the culture and history of New Orleans. My favorite parts were the Musician’s Village, beautiful architectures and murals, and music bars like The Spotted Cat. We also stopped by the city park area and ate beignets at Cafe Du Monde, which were delicious! Lastly, we got a glimpse of the French Quarter through Bourbon St. which looked so fun. I definitely recommend him and this tour!

Everything we hoped for in a swamp boat tour!
This was our first time to Louisiana and we wanted a genuine swamp tour, and boy did we get one! Our guide, Jay, is a bonafide Cajun (a direct descendant of Jean Lafitte himself) and he was incredibly knowledgeable about everything we asked, from history, to ecology, and botany. He wowed us immeasurably when he pulled the boat off into a little bay inside the swamp and started shouting Cajun French out into the trees, and lo and behold no fewer than four alligators came out to greet us, the largest of which he kissed on the mouth! When we return to southern Louisiana, and whenever we have friends visit, we will be doing/recommending this tour and we will be asking for Jay!

She gave us a thorough description of every area we drove through or stopped at. I had researched a lot of other tours and Tours by Isabelle had the most consistent remarks and ratings. Take this tour early in your trip so that you can go back and eat at the restaurants.
The food was amazing. I tried food that I didn’t think I would like just to say I tried it, and ended up eating the whole thing because it was so delicious. It is a ton of food, make sure you are really hungry. Go early in your trip so that you can come back to some of the restaurants. We went the day before we were leaving and we all regret that. We wish we would have done it the first day so we could have gone back to the area to eat. We would go back and eat at every single stop we made, plus there were other restaurants we passed that we did not stop at that looked amazing and we wish we would have been able to eat at. There is plenty of free parking in the area. We took an Uber to the tour and back, but wish we would have driven ourselves from the hotel. We could have saved ourselves some money. Our guide was funny and very knowledgeable of the area. I would take this tour again the next time we come to New Orleans. We had crawfish empanadas, red beans and rice balls, catfish po boys, pralines, fried oysters, eggplant with crab, bread pudding, and an amazing pizza.
