This tour was actually exceptional, We had Katherine as our guide who was extremely knowledgable not just on the rich history of jazz in New Orleans, but also, as a local, on the best locations to enjoy some of that music.Katherine’s showmanship made the experience very immersive, playing hand picked songs, appropriate songs for every story she told us about, but what was most valuable was her extensive knowledge. She did not shy from the darker sides of the history surrounding the music either, and told it in a very respectful, informative and uplifting manner. We learned some great spots from her on this tour, and she even bought a drink from her own pocket in one location. We have since frequented these locations on our holiday.I can’t thank Katherine enough for adding to our holiday and making it so unforgettable, and can’t recommend this tour enough if you are a lover of jazz, music, history or simply want to find some of the best spots to relax in the city.

I heard about this museum and the story it tells while on a bus tour. It was recommended by the tour guide. The museum had a lot of value and the spacing/ number of exhibits was perfect for a lull in the ups and downs of New Orleans. The attendant was super nice. I do wish they had more to offer from the gift shop. There is so much to explore with the Lewd and abandoned theme. Great time out of the heat.

The tour was phenomenal! Our guide Tylyn was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and happily answered any questions we had. The tour gives a condensed yet impressive overview of queer history and culture in NOLA while the French Quarter acts a beautiful backdrop. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in NOLA history, as the fight for equality continues to be relevant to the queer community.

Rhody was an amazing guide. She was bubbly and entertaining while holding the delicacy and heavy nature of New Orleans history. She consistently checked in with tour participants to make sure everyone was doing okay and was intentional about giving everyone a chance to ask questions and be heard. A lot of the information was heavy, but she did a great job of weaving in levity, and I truly believe if you want an accurate, culturally responsive, not white-washed history of the French quarter, this is your tour company. Rhody was knowledgeable, inclusive, and just as willing to share her own personal experiences as a New Orleans local as she was facts and local legends. We had an amazing time and would absolutely go back!
