Mark was an excellent guide. Took us through all of the areas of New Orleans that we wouldn’t have even know to ask about. We learned a lot and had fun. Only con was the size of the vehicle. We had a party of 4 adults and one person had to sit up front and another had to take the hump in the back. It was actually fine, but if the vehicle were more comfortable it would have been perfect. Still, we all would highly recommend the tour.

This was an amazing tour and Jeff was such an amazing guide! We were a group of 14, but he went out of his way to make the process as seamless as possible despite taking on a larger group than normal. There was even a hilariously decorated bike for my partner’s birthday! The food was fabulous and Jeff told us so many interesting facts about the history and culture while eating. The last stop had a beautiful view of the Mississippi River while ate our po boys on some benches outside. If you want a fun tour of the beautiful neighborhoods while getting to experience good food as a local instead of a tourist, I would 100% recommend this experience, and tell Jeff we said hi!

We had a great time on our Segway tour! Riding the Segways was a lot of fun and such a relaxing, easygoing way to see New Orleans and cover more of the city than we could have on foot. Our guide Rhen was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting information about the city. I’ve been to New Orleans many times, and I still learned something new, which is always the sign of a great tour and guide. Definitely a fun and unique way to experience the city!

Brian was a great guide. He is both an author and a lover of history, and we learned a lot about New Orleans and the French Quarter during our time with him. The Sidewalk Food Tours team gave us input into the foods and locations we would visit, and the process for a private tour was flexible on timing as well. It was just the kind of intro to the Quarter that we were seeking. There is one change I would make with a do-over… I would evaluate the food options for both French Quarter and Garden District before making a decision on which tour to book. There could be more variety of options in the Garden tour. While Gumbo and Jambalaya have some significant differences, they are also very similar, and combining them in two hours is kind of heavy on rice, chicken and andouille sausage.

I asked my hotel concierge which tour to book and he said this was the one. We did the 6 person tour to get the most personalized experience. Jay was our tour guide, a Barataria Island native and very knowledgeable and passionate about the area, the wildlife, fish, birds and history.The ride was fast and fun in between areas of mire exploration. We saw a cemetery that is losing ground, parts of the swamp that were widened due to forestry needs and from hurricane damage.He answered all questions and called out to the gators in French…the females came runnIng! Obviously familiar with Jay and knowing there was nothing to fear, we had 4 gators around our boat. We tossed marshmallows to them before Jay got out the hot dogs and showed us a lot of excitement with gators even up on the boat. He’d kiss them and stick his head in their mouths for a bit of fun that didn’t seem overly dangerous (just exciting) The snap of their jaws will be a sound to remember!A great time and worth every penny for the smaller tour experience.

My flight instructor Jacob is very knowledgeable and passionate about flying. He was a lot of fun and made sure we had a great experience. As I got the meeting point I found out I was the only one on the tour and that was the very first thing that made the tour special already, Libby showed up for me and that made me feel special. It seems it can happen during summer because of the low season but instead of canceling because only one person reserved the tour, I got to see Garden District! Libby was so kind to me and we even talked about how New Orleans history is related to Puerto Rico’s (my homeland) and the Caribbean, so interesting! If you are ever in New Orleans I 100% recommend this tour! After, if you’re a coffee lover as myself, you can definitely get to Magazine street and get a coffee from the French Truck! Hope you enjoy your New Orleans trip!
