A Very Authentic Plantation
The Destrehan Plantation Tour was very interesting. The admission fee was reasonable, and the tour took an hour. The Plantation has been restored and is very representative of what it was like 200 years ago. It was only us and another couple, crown size was small. Our Guide was excellent at explaining all the details around the 200 year history of the Plantation, and he added a lot of humor, which made it a lot of fun. Overall we really enjoyed the tour.

This was the most informative and captivating tour I’ve ever been on! Our guide, Thorne, was so knowledgeable and articulate. He held our attention for the entire tour and we learned so much about the burial practices and history of New Orleans! We highly recommend this tour! I would even do it again myself!

We had a fun and informative tour of the French Quarter learning the history of New Orleans. Stella was entertaining and educational as a guide. Despite a downpour for part of the tour she kept sharing interesting stories all while keeping us dry under the gallery in different parts of the Quarter.
