New York Public Library

Begin your journey at the New York Public Library, where the original Ghostbusters encountered their first paranormal activity. Explore the grandeur of the Stephen A. Schwartzman Building and relive the iconic opening scene. Discover the Rose Main Reading Room, where Egon Spengler initiates his investigation. Feel the historic ambiance as you stand in the midst of towering bookshelves, echoing with the knowledge of 2.5 million volumes. Encounter the majestic stone lions, Patience and Fortitude, as they stand guard over the closed-stack research library.

Columbia University

Immerse yourself in the collegiate charm of Columbia University, where the Ghostbusters roamed the picturesque green. Uncover the secrets of this historic campus and recall the scene where the trio faces a grim revelation: the Board of Regents decides to pull the plug on their grant, leaving the ghostbusters with an uncertain future. In reality, there is no Weaver Hall or department of paranormal studies at Columbia University. Columbia University, having expanded its presence throughout the city, maintains its historic core at Morningside Heights. The iconic Low Memorial Library, serving as a backdrop where Venkman and Stantz drown their sorrows and formulate a business plan, stands proudly on West 116th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam avenues. Visit this distinguished institution, witness the architectural marvels, and relive the moments where the supernatural met academia in the Ghostbusters saga.

15 minutes Admission Ticket Free

FDNY Ladder 8

Visit the iconic FDNY Hook and Ladder Company 8, immortalized as the Ghostbusters' headquarters in the heart of Tribeca. Once the team secures funding from the fictional Manhattan City Bank (filmed at a now-defunct Irving Trust Bank location near the library on the Avenue of the Americas), they venture seven miles south to this historic firehouse on North Moore Street. Despite concerns about the building's structural integrity, the Ghostbusters decide to make this early-1900s Beaux-Arts firehouse their base of operations. While interior scenes were filmed in Los Angeles, the exterior shots have made this decommissioned firehouse a must-visit for fans and tourists.

15 minutes Admission Ticket Free

55 Central Prk W

Venture to the Upper West Side and marvel at the imposing structure of 55 Central Park West. Referred to by Stantz as "Spook Central," this art deco marvel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has never had an official name despite its illustrious history. Built in 1929, the exterior shots in Ghostbusters depict the building as taller and more ornate than its real-life counterpart, featuring an elaborate rooftop shrine. Witness where the paranormal meets the posh, and discover how Barrett's otherworldly encounter with flying eggs and a refrigerator portal makes her the ghostbusters' first official customer.

10 minutes Admission Ticket Free

Lincoln Center Plaza

Experience the romance of Ghostbusters at Lincoln Center, where Venkman and Barrett's story takes a delightful turn. Amidst the cultural heart of Manhattan's Upper West Side, Josie Robertson Plaza stands as a hub of artistic brilliance. Positioned between West 65th and 62nd streets and Columbus and Amsterdam avenues, this iconic complex hosts world-renowned institutions like the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Ballet, and the New York Philharmonic. Picture the enchanting scene as Venkman and Barrett stroll around the fountain in Josie Robertson Plaza. Here, in the midst of Lincoln Center, Venkman seizes the moment to share news of a breakthrough in Barrett's supernatural case, extending an invitation for a date that adds a touch of magic to their budding connection.

Tavern On the Green

Witness the chaos unfold as Tully opens his bedroom door to an unwelcome guest—Vinz Clortho, The Keymaster, a growling demigod and loyal minion of Gozer. Tully's comical escape leads him into the heart of Central Park. Follow Tully's desperate antics as he seeks refuge at the Tavern on the Green, a historic gem nestled next to Sheep Meadow. The former sheepfold, converted into a restaurant in 1934, adds a touch of charm to the scene. As Tully attempts to garner help from unsuspecting diners, the romantic ambiance and comedic chaos create an unforgettable moment within the earshot of nonchalant patrons. After a brief closure and a multi-million-dollar renovation, Tavern on the Green reopened in 2014, inviting you to relish lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch in a nice setting.

Columbus Circle

Against the backdrop of the 57-foot-high USS Maine National Monument, commemorating the sailors lost in the 1898 USS Maine tragedy, Tully encounters a horse and amusingly queries if it's The Gatekeeper. Experience the supernatural spectacle as Louis Tully, now possessed by the ominous spirit of The Keymaster, ventures to the southwest corner of Central Park—Columbus Circle. Nestled at the crossroads of 8th Avenue and West 59th Street, this bustling hub invites you to explore its sights and attractions.

This information can be found on every Experience we offer under the Cancellation Policy section, as well as on the checkout page.

Standard Cancellation Policy — A majority of our activity cancellations are free up to 24 hours before the activity commencement time (based on the local time of the activity).

All Sales Final — If any Goods or Services are designated as ‘All Sales Final’ or with materially similar messaging (which includes but is not limited to all group bookings booked through our Group Bookings Department), it is non-refundable, and it will not be possible to change or cancel it after making a Booking for any reason.

Non-Standard Cancellation Policy — A minority of Goods or Services have other, different cancellation policies. In all circumstances, you must check the cancellation policy contained in the applicable Product listing at the time of your Booking, which is the policy that will apply to and govern the terms of your cancellation and any refunds.

Cancellation Due To Bad Weather
If your Activity Operator must cancel due to bad weather and cannot accommodate you on another day, you will be issued a refund. Please be aware before issuing a refund, Cool Broadway will confirm if this is the case. Please note, this is only a valid reason if the Tour Operator cancels the tour.

If Tour Operator Cancels Tour or Excursion

Limitation of Liability

Notwithstanding any damages that You might incur, the entire liability of the Company and any of its suppliers under any provision of this Terms and Your exclusive remedy for all of the foregoing shall be limited to the amount actually paid by You through the Service or 100 USD if You haven’t purchased anything through the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, loss of data or other information, for business interruption, for personal injury, loss of privacy arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the Service, third-party software and/or third-party hardware used with the Service, or otherwise in connection with any provision of this Terms), even if the Company or any supplier has been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if the remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Arrangements set forth in Your Booking are made solely for the convenience of the Ticket Holder and are at Ticket Holder’s risk. The Providers of such Services are independent contractors and are not acting as agents or representatives of Cool Broadway, or their respective affiliates or subsidiaries. In no event shall Cool Broadway be liable for any accident or harm to Ticket Holders, which occurs as a result of any acts, omissions, or negligence of any independent contractors.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, which means that some of the above limitations may not apply. In these states, each party’s liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
